Worldwide known landmark of the city of Turin, Mole Antonelliana was designed to stand out in the city skyline
Mole Antonelliana is the most famous building in Turin and one of the most extraordinary architectures of the nineteenth century. After a troubled construction process which was modified during the works and a series of consolidation interventions, for a long time the Mole was the tallest brick building in Europe. At first a Jewish temple, the building was bought by the city municipality before the works ended. The adjective "Antonelliana" derives from the surname of the architect who designed it: Alessandro Antonelli. With a height of 167,5 meters, Mole Antonelliana is the tallest building in town and the Cinema Museum location.
