L'ambito dei Palazzi dei Rolli Genova

The project, commissioned by the Grimaldi family, bears the signature of Bernardino Cantone, a pupil of Galeazzo Alessi. Together with the road, the "Rolli System" was born: three rolls, called Rolli, which listed the families and assigned them a prestige. These Rollis were consulted to assign a visiting personality to a guest worthy of his rank through a system of assignment based on the drawing of lots of the guest.
