The completion of the axis that crosses Piazza S. Carlo from Piazza Castello to Porta Nuova. The triumphal entry of the city for those arriving by train.
The road was built in a century to extend the axis of the first enlargement of the ancient city, from Piazza S.Carlo to Porta Nuova, and then rebuilt with arcades in the 30s of 1900. Today is the showcase of large commercial chains and many important brands. Together with the adjacent streets it is known as the Turin shopping route par excellence.
