Royal Oranges

The Orangeries, a low building made of exposed bricks, were the ancient royal greenhouses of the Royal Palace that housed various species of citrus fruit in large vases that were brought into the Royal Garden during the summer season. During the Second World War they were heavily damaged. After their restoration, they now host the archaeological collection that had been separated from the Egyptian one.
