In the heart of the Roman city
The Museum is located on the edge of the most important archaeological area of the city, with the Palatine Gates and the remains of the Roman Theater, half of which was excavated and visible and the other half incredibly covered by the so-called New Sleeve of the Royal Palace, which today houses the Savoy Gallery.
In the image (from Google Earth) is highlited the seat and the area of the museum. Its entrance is located in the courtyard of the Royal Palace.
