The old station
The location of the old station of Porta Susa, on the project of the architect Carlo Promis (1856), was conceived according to a strategic plan that saw the station on a north-east perpendicular axis (as seen from the photo) that allowed the connection between Piazza Statuto and the Via Cernaia - Via Pietro Micca that led directly at the heart of the city, in Piazza Castello.
