Despite the call for an international contest for the construction of a 120 m high tower close to the new railway station, the project today did not find any realization. The skyscraper, in close connection with the station itself, should have hosted a hotel, a business center, receptive and commercial activities. As a "vertical continuation" of the station it should have also brought the signature of Arep, D'Ascia and Magnaghi, the same team that has made the station.
