A particularly innovative and futuristic layout has characterized the station's architectural design. A tubular structure in aluminum and steel combined with glass creeps under the roadway for 21 meters where the platforms are located. The structure is divided into four spaces that correspond to different functions: rail transport, integrated transport (metro, parking, bus connection), services for travelers (ticket offices and waiting rooms) and services and commercial and cultural activities. The 15,000 square meter glass roof is entirely made up of photovoltaic glass integrated with the supporting structure for an energy production of 680 thousand kilowatt hours per year. The tunnel air exchange is assured by natural air convection motions that rise from the lower levels.
