Going up the baroque staircase designed by Juvarra you will discover the premodern history of the Palace (for more information see the "Palazzo Vecchio" POI). The museum displays how the building constituted the queen's personal palace, hence the name Palazzo Madama (Royal house, Art gallery, Senate).
