The side on Via Verdi

In 1730, about 30 years after the completion of the initial project, Juvarra was commissioned to redesign the court of the stables towards the Via della Zecca (today Via Verdi). The project, realized in the following years, is today one of the last parts of the command area yet to be restored and reused.

The Juvarra's drawing shows the front on Via Verdi and, on the side, the stables that converge high up in the middle of the cross, in the octagon space where it is planned to make the horses move. Accommodation was provided on the upper floors.
