The Madonna della Vita
Inside the church, there is a green marble column of Levanto where there is the portrait of the Madonna della Vita, dating back to 14th century. According to Federico Alizeri, the column, dating back to the first construction of the church, would have been maintained precisely because of popular devotion.
The image shows the column on which the Madonna della Vita is represented. It is surrounded by the ex-voto of new parents who thank the intercession of the Virgin for the arrival of a son.
