Baroque interior style

Internally, the Romanesque basilica had three naves with exposed trusses, now covered by 17th-century renovations. The dome has an octagonal base while the frescoes of the vaults, except that of the presbytery, were made between the 18th and 19th centuries. Laterally, each nave has five altars; two chapels, one of the Crucifix and one of the Virgin, close the bottom of the naves.

The interior of the basilica is large and spacious, characterized by double columns and frescoed ceiling where the use of gold stands out, embellishing the work.
