An early christian mosaic

In 1909 the works next to the Duomo reveal traces of the early Christian churches and among them a black and white mosaic with complex historical or allegorical figures of great evocative power comes to light. Part of the mosaic is conserved in the Museum, an other part is exposed under glass in the place of the discovery, behind the bell tower, next to the secondary entrance door to the courtyard of the Royal Palace.
