Piergiorgio Frassati Dominican laic

Piergiorgio Frassati (1901-1925) had a strong link with the church of San Domenico. At the age of 21 he entered the Dominican Third Order, the consecrated laics, taking as usual the name of Fra Girolamo, in honor of Savonarola. The young man, dedicated his life to hidden charity towards the poorest, and a member of many Catholic associations, died at just 24 years and was beatified: one of the so-called Social Saints that characterized the century between 1800 and 1900 in Turin.

A fragment of the drama on Rai "S non avessi l'amore" tells the story of Blessed Piergiorgio's commitment to the Dominican Third Order
