The Flemish triptych

In the "Oratorio dei Falegnami", to which the only chapel of the church is dedicated, there are many art treasures, among which the triptych of the Flemish Joos Van Cleve from 1515 stands out. A table conceived as a treasure to be discovered only on certain occasions, with a precise audience. Only a high-ranking family could afford the purchase of a Flemish painting, a very fashionable gesture at the time, given the close commercial and cultural relationships which were created between the Belgian region and Genoa.

In the central compartment the adoration of the Three Kings, laterally the commissioners of the Raggi family are represented. In the upper bezel a small crucifixion.
