"Pure" Romanesque style

The building perfectly takes on the characters of the Romanesque style with particular Genoese aspects: a simple façade with a gable roof, a portal decorated in white and black stone, a small but well proportioned rose window. Everything "too perfect": in fact the porch (on the columns) and the rose window were added in a restoration of the late 1800s by D'Andrade.

"The little church of S. Donato" is the caption that presents the splendid photo inserted in the monograph of photos dedicated to the Liguria of the TCI in 1938.
