San Donato Genova

The church, parish and seat of canons since 1160, has maintained an important role in the city for many centuries. The parish archive keeps the birth details of people who later became important, such as Magnasco (painter) and Piaggio (dialect poet). In the seventeenth century, in the middle of the left aisle, the Chapel of San Giuseppe was created, where the Oratory of the Carpenters, a powerful corporation of the city, accumulated art treasures.
