Via Roma "Vecchia" Torino

Already in 1800, Via Roma was at the center of a debate and proposals for renovation projects required by the town bourgeoisie for a need for decorum and for the particular degradation of blocks' interior. Various proposals will be made, in particular large commercial galleries projects on the model of the Milanese Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Only in the 30s of 1900 the renewal of the entire street will be allowed.
