Via Garibaldi Torino

Due to the dual role of urban axis and commercial road, the street suffers from traffic congestion with the growth of private cars. At the end of the 1970s, with a long cultural and political battle, the municipality took one of the first measures for the pedestrianization of an important street in a large Italian city. The positive result served other administrations as a reference model for their traffic containment policies.
