Dora Grissa and Sant'Espedito

The Via Decumana suffered a decay in the early Middle Ages, reducing in some points to less than five meters in width, maintaining however the commercial function, so much to take the name of "Contrada Sant'Espedito", protector of the merchants.

The section, curated by O.Scaglione and P.Viotto, compares the different dimensions of road sections in different eras, with the restoration started in 1736 and the recent project to eliminate the central free waterway.
