Bird's-eye on Via Garibaldi

The decumanus maximus of the Roman city still connects Piazza Castello (the eastern Roman gateway to the road of France, at the western exit of the consolidated city). With 963 meters, it is among the longest pedestrian streets in Europe, second only to the rue Sainte-Catherine, in Bordeaux.

In the photo, from google earth, the axis of via Garibaldi, pedestrianized up to piazza Statuto (the park on the background), which extends westwards with via Cibrario.
