A place for the relation between King and City
The axis that connects Palazzo di Città to Piazza Castello has been dedicated, from its origins, to indicating the relationship between the two governments, the local one and that of the Duchy and then of the Kingdom. Such a significant urban sign kept separate from the main axes and nodal squares of a city is particular and rare.
The layout of the street and the square reveals the secluded position and the modest size compared to Via Garibaldi and Piazza Castello but it does not reveal the quality and care of the overall architectural structure.
