The district is realized

In the 70s of the eighteenth century the different projects of the west area are completed. The blocks of ancient plant, such as those of Via Corte d'Appello or Via Garibaldi will be those of later implementation, for the difficulties due to the fractional properties and the extensive renovation works. The dense medieval fabric remains closed inside many narrow and unhealthy courtyards, where the same effort of design and decoration is not always dedicated. The plan of the western part will be realized like in the first signs that Juvarra had traced, privileging the main axes, but maintaining a great homogeneity and coherence in all the streets of the district.

The plan shows all the projects of rectification of the main axes in the western part of the city: via Milano, via Corte d'Appello and via del Carmine, via Garibaldi and via Palazzo di Città.
