A strategic passage

A wide road axis, with an elevated slope in the closest section to the entrance door to the city. Starting right from the towers and moving downwards there is a straight road that leads to Piazza delle Erbe, the old market square. The route was, therefore, a point of passage to and from the city and the area immediately outside the walls.
