The square in the film industry

Sarzano was the set of several films for cinema and TV. From the post-war period until today, this strange space, contradictory between noble aspects and ruins, has often been chosen because it allows long shot scenes, given the size and a variety of shots and unique lights, impossible to find in other areas of the center.

A frame from the film "Che Tempi!", Directed by Giorgio Bianchi with Gilberto Govi and, among others, Alberto Sordi, from 1947. In the background the buildings of the square bombed during the Second World War
