The restorations
The bombing of World War II was disastrous for the Carlo Felice theatre. nly the perimeter walls and little else remained standing of its entire structure designed by Carlo Barabino. The interior, completely destroyed, was the subject of a long debate. It was decided to restore the area destroyed thanks to an intervention started in 1987 and finished in 1991.
The scaffolding surrounds the facade of the theatre that was destroyed by the bombing of the war. Only in 1991 the theater will be returned to the city.
