The first construction
The square was born in 1870 with a completely different shape from the present one: initially triangular-shaped. It was dedicated to San Domenico for the convent complex in front of it.
The square De Ferrari: the demolished buildings make the left side of the church to its original appearance which it will be hidden from the present palace of the Region
