New alignment of the capital city
The master plan of Filippo Juvarra (1729) aimed to redevelop the district from an urban, architectural and functional point of view and to reiterate also through the places and spaces of the city the new role of Turin as capital of the kingdom. In the overall plan we collect the idea already present for some time to enhance the Dora Grossa street, which runs along S.Domenico.
