Renovated walls and restored houses

The restoration of the Barbarossa walls began with the section closest to Porta Soprana. On north side they have been demolished to make room for the bank buildings. On south side instead they have been highlighted, by demolishing the first houses leaning against vico del Ponticello. Almost 100 years later the other houses leaning against the walls have been redeemed from centuries-old degradation with a recovery that resembles a restoration. The restoration maintains, among other things, accessibility to the accommodation from the fascinating guard walkway that runs between the battlements, in addition to the one from Via del Colle.

In the photo, from Google Earth, the restored walls fit like a crack between the houses, after the short free stretch next to the Porta Soprana.
