Porta Susa - Stazione FS. Torino Torino

This is the most important infrastructural project in a central area of the city of Turin, involving the total burying of the tracks between Corso Turati and Corso Grosseto. The work, which involved many large construction sites in different areas of the city, began in 1987 and was only finally completed in 2016. The urban route of the link crosses the area from Torino Lingotto Station to Torino Stura Station, passing through the "new" Porta Susa Station, plus the section connecting to the old Porta Nuova Station; 8 km of this section is underground. In the urban area, the link crosses eight districts of the city: Falchera, Rebaudengo, Borgata Vittoria, San Donato, Aurora, Centro, Crocetta and Lingotto.
