Spina 2, place of urban transformation

The Spina 2 project is the result of an important twenty-year and highly complex urban planning plan that envisaged: the recovery of brownfield sites, the creation of new centralities and the interaction between infrastructural works and urban requalification actions. The image illustrates the area before the construction of the new Porta Susa Station, and highlights some fundamental aspects of the Spina 2 project: the axis of east-west development and the connection with other urban transformation areas such as the OGR (Officine Grandi Riparazioni), including the area destined to the tower never built.
