The project of the great Cavallerizza

The renovation of the stables included a large riding school, for which Benedetto Alfieri is appointed. The project replaced the eastern wing of the Castellamonte stables, which converged on the central space (la Rotonda) that served as a riding ground. The project plans to occupy all the free space towards the Po until the Maneggio Chiablese (then the Mint), with an apse that complete the race of the horses engaged in the carousel of the main room. Upstairs for the pages (horse care workers) are provided on the upper floor.
