Postcards an messages
"... transplanted among unknown people ... in that sumptuous building ... place of the first studies, pedantic, and badly done .... a donkey, among donkeys, and under a donkey." A kind of punishment college for lively and enterprising children, as Vittorio Alfieri himself says in the following pages of Life, from which those poisonous initial comments are taken.
A reproduction of the late 1800s also used as a postcard, which shows the age-old duration of the college topos, courtly, cold which hosts but does not welcome the boys who are forged inside.
