The house with the red vault

The door number 19 of Via Palazzo di Città, is called "the red vault". In this position there was a house, then demolished after the Alfieri settlement, which from the fourteenth century separated Piazza Palazzo di Città from the the square of Corpus Domini, dividing the erbs' market from the grain's one. Inside the building there was a public passageway with an exposed brick vault, which gave the place its name.
