The small square of the Consolata

The open space is created by Vittorio Amedeo II in 1715 through the removal of the northern bastion of the city wall. A granitic column hold a statue of the Madonna built in 1835 as a thanksgiving for having preserved the city from a cholera epidemic which spread in Piemonte.
