Santuario della Consolata Torino

For more than a thousand years the Turinese have come to the Sanctuary to ask for comfort and help in the dangers and in the difficult moments of life. A tangible sign of this devotion to the Madonna are the more than thirteen thousand ex-voto posted inside the church and the cloisters of the complex. Thousands of silver hearts, hundreds of shoulder pads of officers surviving the wars, or embroidery and crochet hooks, but above all the more than 3000 paintings, a naive insight of the last 200 years of life in the risky working and artisan city.
