Santuario della Consolata Torino

The Sanctuary remained miraculously almost intact even during the furious cannonade of the French. Only the base of the dome was struck by a bullet still visible today from via della Consolata. After the victory over the French the Consolata was elevated to the rank of patron saint of the city alongside San Giovanni.
