A particular church in the center of the medieval city, designed at the end of the 16th century with commercial premises on the ground floor and the hall of worship on the second floor.
The church is built on a pagan place of worship and on numerous Christian buildings which succeeded one another since the early centuries. The current building is the result of a project wanted by the Republic for the pestilence at the end of the sixteenth century. Commercial funds contributed to making the construction investment and its maintenance supportable.
