Будинок-корабель / Ship Palace Chernivtsi urban hromada

There is a local legend about two brothers from Austria-Hungary who once lived in this house. One of the brothers was a financier and the other a sailor, but the brothers had no family. They decided to settle together in a place reminiscent of the sea and ships. After traveling, they finally found such a place in Chernivtsi. They began to call him "Shifa" (from the German word Shiff which means Ship).
