The enlargment towards the port at the end of 1500s
From 1570 was made a large extension towards the south, with a new large hall and staircase of honor and a facade adorned with a bell tower / tower and frescoes: the manifesto of the power of the Banco and of the City for those arriving in port.
The photo, from the 30s of the 1900s, shows the intrusion on the background of the new building, built specifically to cover the old one.
