The fountain of the Genio Marino
The fountain of the "Genio Marino" ("Sea Genius") (built in 1643) today in Piazza C.Colombo, until 1861 was located at the top of the Royal Bridge (in front of Palazzo S. Giorgio) and was used to supply water to the ships of the port.
The view, which highlights the separation wall between port and city, served as a document for the restoration of the frescoes of the Pogliaghi façade in the early 1900s.
