Alfredo d'Andrade (1839-1915) was a Portuguese architect, archaeologist and painter, naturalised Italian. He specialised in restoration, starting with philological research, and worked in various parts of northern Italy, including the Canavese area. On 29 March 1899, after being appointed Royal Delegate for the Conservation of Monuments in Piedmont and Liguria by the Minister of Education, he dedicated himself to the conservation of the church of Saints Peter and Paul in Bollengo. Although there are no graphic studies of this case, we know that drawing was the medium that d'Andrade chose to minutely analyse the architecture of the area.
