Dating back to the Tenth and Eleventh centuries, the Romanesque church is today a rare evidence of the villages’ ancient structure in the area before the construction of Borgo Franco di Bollengo.
One of the churches in the Canavese area characterised by the bell tower on the façade, an ancient testimony of a ghost village. Today it is part of the places of historical and artistic interest in the area, in fact it is a fundamental stage in the itinerary of the Via Francigena di Siergico on the slopes of the Serra d'Ivrea.
