The bell tower

After the year 1000, the bell tower became a predominant architectural element, standing out as a visual landmark between the hills and the plains. At first glance, the Romanesque building appears to be a unitary construction, but documents from the Nineteenth century attest to the presence of walls between the bell tower and the church, suggesting a separate building unit.
