The term used to indicate this construction technique is Clocher-porche; typical of French taste, the architectural model (very rare in Italy), sees the greatest concentration of constructions in the Canavese area, which has always been a crossroads between the borders of the Po Valley and beyond the Alps. In any case, the clocher-porche in the Canavese area can only be identified by the particularity of the bell tower, which, set on the axis of the façade, forms the main entrance to the church through a small vaulted space.
