Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo Bollengo
Of Irene Balzani
In the Seventeenth century, the sacred building changed from public to private ownership; the very first document testifying this change dates back to 1610. In a notarial deed, the owner at that time, indicated the price of 32 scudi to the purchaser, who was to build his house there together with that of other hermits. The other proof is the attestation of Monsignor Asinari who, in 1652, describes the church in a pastoral visit; next to the sacred building there were in fact a barn and a stable with a room on top and later a structure with two rooms was added, leaning against the south wall.
