Today, the place of worship is surrounded and concealed by dense vegetation designed specifically to separate the monument from its immediate anthropic context, which includes settlements, cultivated fields, rows of vines and terracing. Moreover, the separation of the building from the rest of the clearing is emphasised by a fence that isolates it on the south-eastern side, while on the north-eastern side it is bounded by a hedge, the result of restoration work carried out in 1981.
