A territory marked by history

In the territory of the Marquisate of Saluzzo, the area assigned to the Benedictine monks in the early 1200s was among the least productive and most isolated (in 1600 there were still many marshy areas). The complex had, however, the importance of a village (like Cardè or Barge, nearby). In the paper, a few years after the French war in Italy, it should be noted that the monks are Cistercian and that in the surroundings the Sun King's troops won a hard battle in 1690.
