Parco Ignazio Michelotti Torino

The 20th October, 1955 was officially inaugurated with eight cages for felines and twelve for monkeys. On March 20, 1956, works began on the construction of the Zoo's second batch. The works to be done are: a pond with running water, sandy islets and some grassy corner with tufts of canes that will need to accommodate elephants on the one hand the giraffes on the other side. On May 28, 1960, the Aquarium-Reptile was inaugurated. On 1 April 1987 the zoo closes definitively. After the zoo was closed, the party to the Grand Mother was used as a playground.
