The map, dated 1923, shows the settlements of the first phase of the Piedmontese ironworks, to the north-east of the sector, still without the main casting and stripping sheds, then built to the south-west.
Da notare la razionalità del disegno delle grandi strade collegate da piazze circolari, che i piani urbani del primo '900 predispongono e realizzano per lo sviluppo industriale della città (Corsi Mortara, Umbria, Svizzera).
